Water-based Anti-rust Anti-corrosion Primer
The water-based anti-rust and anti-corrosion primer is an eco-friendly coating made from water-based resin (acrylic, epoxy or polyurethane) with anti-rust pigments (such as zinc phosphate and aluminium tripolyphosphate) and corrosion inhibitors. It addresses the electrochemical corrosion (passivation film with ≥ 95% protection efficiency), chemical and physical protection of metal substrates.
Product features
- Salt spray resistance 500-1000 h (ASTM B117)
- VOC ≤ 50 g/L (GB 38468)
- Drying: surface ≤ 1 h, full ≤ 24 h (25 ℃, GB/T 1728)
- Dense layer with porosity ≤ 5%
- Passivation film with ≥ 95% protection efficiency
Application scope
Steel structures, pipes and storage tanks, security doors and windows, balcony railings, construction machinery, agricultural equipment.
Application method
① Surface cleaning (ISO 8501-1): sandblasting to Sa2.5 (near-white, free of visible grease, scale or rust, residues ≤ 5% by weight) or manual treatment to St3, revealing the metallic luster without losing the old coating. ② Film thickness control (ISO 2808): C3 60-80 μm, C4 80-100 μm, C5 100-150 μm. ③ Airless spray (80-120 bar) or air spray (nozzle 1.8-2.2 mm), nylon brush or short-nap roller. ④ Inter-coat interval: 4-6 h (after surface drying).
