Floor Primer – Water-based Acrylic

The water-based floor primer is an eco-friendly coating made with water as the dispersion medium, high-molecular-weight polymer emulsion as base material, plus special additives and fillers. As the first step of the floor coating system, its main role is to penetrate and reinforce the base, seal pores, improve adhesion and provide an ideal construction base for subsequent coats.

Product features

  • Penetrates and reinforces the base
  • Seals pores and improves smoothness
  • Improves adhesion with the topcoat

Application scope

Concrete (new or old floor, requires polishing), self-leveling cement (seals pores and improves the smoothness of the upper layer), grinder wear-resistant floors (improves adhesion with the topcoat). Scenarios: home flooring (garage, basement, balcony); commercial spaces (shopping centers, offices, kindergartens with high environmental requirements); light industrial floors (electronics factories, food workshops, warehouses), combined with a wear-resistant topcoat.

Application method

① Base standards: concrete aged ≥ 28 days; moisture ≤ 8% (CM method); surface strength ≥ C20; flatness ≤ 3 mm/2 m. ② Preparation: mechanical grinding (diamond wheel 30-60), vacuum cleaning (residual dust ≤ 2 g/m²), degreasing with special cleaner and crack repair with epoxy mortar; base temperature must be ≥ dew point + 3 ℃. ③ Environmental conditions: temperature 10-35 ℃ (optimal 15-30 ℃), humidity 40-75%. ④ Application: dilution 5-10% with deionized water; short-pile roller (6-9 mm) or airless spray (80-100 bar); coverage 0.12-0.18 kg/m², 1-2 coats with 4-6 h interval. ⑤ Special cases: highly absorbent base → pre-coat with water:primer = 1:1 and continue after 30 min; damp base → special breathable primer, humidity ≤ 85%.
